The agreement for using Afterword, written as plainly as we can.
Last updated Oct 22, 2026
By installing or using the Afterword Chrome extension and website (“Afterword”), you agree to these terms. If you use Afterword for an organization, you confirm you’re allowed to accept them on its behalf.
Afterword works with your Zoom account and, if you choose, your Google Drive. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.
Meeting summaries require a paid Zoom plan (Zoom Pro or higher). Afterword is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Zoom.
Don’t use Afterword to access meetings or accounts you aren’t authorized to access, to break the law, or to interfere with Zoom, Google, or Afterword. Don’t resell, copy, or reverse-engineer the service.

Afterword is provided “as is.” Summaries come from Zoom AI Companion and may be incomplete or inaccurate, so review them before relying on them. We can’t guarantee uninterrupted service or that Zoom and Google APIs stay available.
To the extent the law allows, Afterword isn’t liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
We may update these terms. For significant changes, we’ll tell you in the extension or by email before they take effect. Questions go to support@
